Gamigo Mandates that Rift and Trove accounts be linked to Steam

I played RIFT before it ever appeared on Steam so I will see about linking to Steam today.
Just wanted to mention this in case others still use the old launcher
EDIT: hmmmm, this was announced around the 15th I believe - I can still log in using my old launcher - I think I'm going to hold off on linking anything (as some people have mentioned having issues with it) and see how long the launcher will work.
Anyway, this unfortunate decision is still a thing apparently ....
Just a FYI 2/22/23: Thought perhaps the 15-day free patron was tied to Steam log-in, but I have not linked to Steam yet and still got the 15-day benefit logging in through Glyph.
