Py ro man cer

Lo and behold a Ghar forum exclusive. Official Forums went mia a day after i posted a Pyro guide so that was great fun. Not as pretty as the original.

Why Pyro? Most reliable Mage dps for group encounters.
When (this) Pyro? When you got a light blue Eternal weapon or you miss out on alot.

Image
64 Mastery:
Calculated Annihilation if you never jinx Fusillade
Arcane Finesse for better Fire Storms

Please take the pov video for visual references:
https://youtu.be/fAZkQuH15Ek

Looks like a lot, I can promise you that it is mostly 3 buttons.

Basics:
Spoiler:

Only when Heat wave and Fusillade are on cooldown, Fireball applies a 5 second dot which
1) Proccs LEF +1 when applied
2) Significantly buffs Cinder Burst

Your Pyromancer's Armor allows fire damage to procc Cinder Burst by 20% (Pyromancer's Blessing)
Image
After proccing, the procc has a cooldown of 3 seconds. This cooldown runs if you use the Cinderburst or not.
5x Fireball stacks 'Pyromancer's Vengeance' for you to raise the proccrate by +20% - this only lasts 10 seconds!. Consider using Flicker to reduce the time you have to run somewhere instead of having it fall off.
Buffing Legendary Elemental Forces adds one ogcd chance to procc Pyro's Blessing.

We want to ''Use up'' your two big cooldowns, Heat Wave and Fusillade. Without special attention, ''wasting'' them both gives you more gain than sitting on them unused.

Every manually cast Fireball gives 3x Eternal stacks, 5 seconds +30% for Cinder Burst, +20 Charge
Apparently we can fit 3 abilities before using another Fireball. But with ogcds (off global cooldown spells) it may only be one gcd in between Fireballs!
After Cinder Burst procced once, it is on cooldown for 30 seconds unless it proccs again.
You will alternate a cast with firing tons of spells in quick succession. Your main worry will be to leave just enough buffs unconsumed for Cinder Bursts.

Fireball button - alternate gcd - Fireball button - alternate gcd - fireball button - alternate gcd
Streamlining the whole Pyro comes hand in hand with finding the best value for your gcd's.

LEF, Legendary Elemental Forces (Ele)- This annoying Legendary gives you 5 stacks of a quad hit, triggered by direct damage and is your main charge consumer.
Applied without eternal it hits for ca. 10k x4 (x5) with Eternal it hits for ca. 100k x4 (x5)
Worst you can do is having an active instance of Eternal-buffed LEF stacks and overwriting them with unbuffed ones. Rather go calm and collected about your Charge management/ spending than trying to ''charge dump'' at all cost. The macros will do the great majority for you when used in the Neglecteroni(TM)- pattern.
Though LEF can give up to 2mil total as ogcd, you are better off reserving Eternal stacks for an Eternal/ Internalized Charge infused Cinder Burst- and see LEF as a way to procc more Cinder.
The minmaxing potential on it is to get just enough ability hits to apply all 5 stacks before applying another one- and use their buff timings to increase the Cinder proccrate/ minute.
This means: If you want to use LEF manually to squeeze out a little bit more potential, please do so.

Get the Removebuff Addon if you don't already have it:
https://www.cadrift.net/wp-content/uplo ... veBuff.zip
It allows you to cancel buffs without spamming your chat with errors.
removebufftype B634F42176219DD88
does the same as
cancelbuff Heat Wave
(important!)

2 Opener options:

1) Use DEFAULT to popp Heat Wave with a hard cast Cinder Burst followed by a Fireball. We will not use the full Heat Wave duration anyway.
- This one is very controlled (video)

2) Open with a Clean Fireball and the CLEAN macro.
- More flexible start. You will only switch to DEFAULT and ONE after your first Cinder procc. Otherwise stick with #CLEAN until it does (can vary a lot but at last after Fusillade)

The rotation is named the NEGLECTERONI since it takes Flame Bolt and Countdown (and Heat Wave) completely off your radar. They eventually get applied automatically whenever the priority list allows for them but manual tracking/ chasing them is a dmg loss. (because their boni are barely worth the gcd spent. They naturally have a ''nice to have'' stamp whenever everything else better is unavailable)
Alot is managed automatically. The kalert set will display everything you need (further below).

SIMPLE approach:

- Buff Pyromancer's Armor

- Open with pressing the DEFAULT macro twice, one hardcast Cinder Burst followed by a quick Fireball
- Hit the FIRE STORM macro twice for Fire Storm and Dark Touch
- DEFAULT for (cinder procc) Fireball
- Manual LEF if Charge available (Or charge pot here)
- FUSI macro for the full Fusillade channel
- DEFAULT macro for one Fireball cast

From now on your rotation is built like a left/ right principle. You alternate the DEFAULT for one Fireball with one gcd of ONE macro.
Replace ONE with DT or FIRE STORM+DT when they need refreshing.
Press the ONE macro quickly but only for one gcd- it may fire off Elemental Forces and other buffs along the way.
Watch your Fireball casting- quickly press the alternate macro already while it is casting and additional times until one gcd is done- or until your Eternal stacks are down to 1-0- back to pressing DEFAULT until Fireball goes off and repeats.
See Fireball like reloading a 3 shot revolver and avoid using alternate abilities without the (up to 3) eternal stacks available.
(Dark Touch will not consume a stack)

PERFORMANCE approach:

Ability basics:
> DT can popp 3 LEF. So having full charge, LEF - DT - LEF is a good trade. The dots do not apply at once- so do not rush a followup LEF on it's 1.5s gcd.
> Fireball can procc 2-3 LEF on impact (fireball, it's dot, Tenebrean procc)
> When you are on 40-59 charge and cast a Fireball next, press a button with LEF extra quick while it finishes the cast so LEF get's used before the Fireball hits your target.
> Internalized Charge buffs all Fusillade Fireballs. With Heat Wave on cd and inactive, the last couple hits even apply the dot (because Fusillade is on cd and inactive while they are in the air) (Hence the removebufftype in the Fusi button)
> Standing in melee range has your auto attacks procc LEF every 3 seconds (rip eternal dagger)

Prepull (can be ignored)
- Cast @ self Energy Manipulation early
- Un/ re equip Omnox before the pull

- What about prebuffing LEF?
You definitely can. It won't change anything on the final numbers and i prefer the minigame of "Having no unbuffed LEF (aka 10k min hits) in your breakdowns".

At pull:
- Heat Wave - Cinder Burst hardcast- Fireball (will be a very quick cast - try to hit the FIRE STORM macro for LEF before Fireball hits the target)
- Hit the FIRE STORM macro twice for Fire Storm and Dark Touch (every second DT gets refreshed like this)
- DEFAULT for (Cinder procc) Fireball
- Manual LEF if Charge is available (Or charge pot here)
- FUSI macro for the full Fusillade channel
- DEFAULT for (procced Cinder) Fireball
- ONE no matter if it procced or not. Press it a couple of times quickly for ONE gcd
- DEFAULT for Fireball
etc

Please do reference the youtube link for visuals.

Situational decisions:

When Internalized Charge and Fusillade misalign, rather cast and clip Fusillade after a second than fully channeling it without Internalized Charge (+100% dmg). Try to re-align them gently by slight Int. Charge delays etc but Int. Charge generally has quite a long uptime.
- When you are about to hit DEFAULT again but see high charge and/ or leftover eternals tacks:
Cinder Procc, high charge, 1 eternal stack -> If internalized Charge is up, give the Eternal stack to Cinder, without Internalized Charge: LEF > Cinder(poorly done in the video)
Cinder Procc, high charge, 2 eternal stacks-> Sneak in a Cinder > LEF > Fireball
No procc, high charge, 1+ eternal Stacks-> Sneak in a manual LEF > Fireball

Oddities:

} Fire Storm when placed as well as popped Count Downs spread by Fire Storm will use up your LEF. On something like Vindicator's adds or Azranel pillars you can try to manually place FS to hit as little off targets as possible and keep all LEF on the boss.

} Dark Touch will benefit from- but not consume your eternal stacks. So even with one stack you can DT - LEF for example.
There is an approach to use Dark Toch frequently to
- conserve eternal stacks
- have it procc more LEF
- stretch out the time inbetween Fireballs to have a little bit more Cinder be affected by Int Charge
-> However the gcd damage value of DT (1.5sec) for every Fireball is below your dps, you will end up with exactly the same amount of LEF, you will have higher Cinder average hits but less total Cinder used. More Cinder will scale better in raids and will get you further since roevolving the WHOLE rotation to have 5 second cycles cater into Cinder- just to not have it procc when needed really kills your results.
DT every 5 seconds will have one in maybe three dummy parses hit juicy numbers. Being unrelyable like that and basing your numbers on pure luck is a weird appraoch everyone has to decide for him/ herself.
But you can apply this approach when refreshing Dark touch naturally.
Fireball -> LEF - Dark Touch (FB and Dt will trigger a second later, able to consume 5 LEF in an instant) - LEf after DT's gcd - you now have one eternal stack left for Cinder or Fire Storm.

} Since one non-fireball gcd proccs 1-3 LEF (+ melee) on average (Countdown nothing on application) and the ONE macro is capable of firing LEF -Cinder -LEF, you want to try to hit your ONE macro while Fireball is casting. (And have short ability queue active)
That way you can get the charge and buffs from Fireball, activate LEF but have fireball impact after it for 2 stacks consumed asap, giving it the same effect as if you buffed LEF before Fireball.
Ideally you keep maximum melee range to get both melee swings and the travel time delay.

} Feel free to develop your own style! There are various approaches to DtLef Pyro which will end up practicaly the same as long as you follow the basics.

KALERTS:

Full kalerts, i never switch kalert sets so this contains Harbinger etc- but it should do fine for your ''Pyro set''

Firestorm addon: Allows you to track your Legendary Firestorm uptime
https://justbeamit.com/k64kn

Pyro can be a little bit stressful at first but the more confident you become with all eventualities (mainly Eternal stacks and charge) the more it plays itself.

stopattack what? It's not perfect but it can delay and somewhat control a whitenit to consume an additional LEf during ''weak consuming gcd's'' before it gets overwritten by a fresh instance- free 400k+ every now and then.

//This all is rather ghetto so please do leave feedback and point things out. Also fixed some rotation errors, may want to update your copy.
